Building Futures for Youth Program Receives Award

At its Annual General Meeting, held May 20, 2010, the Nova Scotia Construction Safety Association (NSCSA) presented the Building Futures for Youth program with the Founder's Safety Select Award.  Recipients of the award have shown consistent promotion of safety activities and/or developments within their respective organization, promotion and use of industry best practices, and demonstration of industry leadership and exemplary safety performance.  According to Damon Alcock, Director of Member Services for the NSCSA, the Building Futures for Youth program is "an exceptional example of  how working together you can encourage youth to enter the trades and promote the importance of safety at an early stage in peoples careers".  To learn more about this program, go to www.buildingfutures.ca.
